liberty, library, liberation, or libido…
“lib.” can be anything you can think of.
These words with “lib-“ contain a desire or energy to live. Sigmund Freud has once interpreted libido as a sexual desire, but as its root in Latin, it has broader meanings.
“lib.i.do”(this website) has made with a little hope to widen our/my view of what “lib.” stands for, how and moreover why it relates to what “I do”.
“lib.I.do” would be different from “lib.You.do.” This is the starting line and this is where we are. This is why offering and exchanging one’s “lib.s” is significant.
It might help you to (re-)construct your own “lib.s”. More importantly, through its process, we experiment and experience how to feel one’s vibes of “lib.i.do” with words, as discourse.
Welcome to “lib.i.do”
“I do not know what I may appear to the world, but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the sea-shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”
